PRAY

Please pray tonight....I just checked the Lawrenson family blog & read that Tricia may be getting her new lungs tonight as long as the pair of lungs are a match for her!!!!! Also, pray for the donor family, someones family made a hard decision tonight to prolong someone elses life after losing thiers. If Tricia is transplanted tonight she has a long road ahead of her, but I am sure with her faith, will & strength that she is going to pull through this. I am so overjoyed right now for this family...though I don't know them physically they are some of the best people I have ever "met" & I could only imagine the emotions thier families are feeling right now. I only wish we had many more people in the world like them!!!!!

Go on & PRAY PRAY PRAY PRAY!!!!!

Hooray

I have to say Hooray for some good news...Isabel is pretty much potty trained...I say this in fear that she might go backwards!!!! She is doing very well though. Holly has returned to school & is doing better for the most part.

My friend Krystle may be having her baby this week...she is having some complications so keep her in your prayers & especially that her husband is there because he is out to sea right now so we don't know if he will make it back in time.

I'm going to try to upload a pic again...if it doesn't work forgive me. If it does that is my mom with the 2 girls!! Please keep the Lawrenson family in your prayers as always.....you can check them out at http://www.cfhusband.blogspot.com/

Opps...

Please forgive my post below...I obviously don't know how to add pictures correctly so.....please just keep Holly in your prayers if you could!!! Thank you!!!

Up & Down....

Holly has been in the hospital again...seems that we can't go 1 month without visiting our favorite place....literally. Her EKG results came back abnormal & her lungs showed some more extensive damage. We will go back to our regular clinic for PFT's & more scans to see the extent of actual lung permanant lung damage at our next clinic visit but we were just there & got such a good report that this is very discouraging....she just returned to school last week & she was very worried that she wouldn't be able to go back but she is still allowed to attend school. As of right now the MRSA culture was clear & the PA was mucoid but atleast it seems to be under control, so that's good news.

My family has suffered through a few deaths in our family this past month which is why we took our mountain trip that caused the above episode....the air there seems so pure & fresh to us....to her lungs I guess it seemed like we were closing her off from real air.

So, after being in the car for basically 4 days straight

We are finally back to a place where she can breathe a little easier!!!

Being a mother

I read a blog today about all the things that mothers take for granted because we do them so frequently & sometimes they can even bother us.....so, in honor of Tricia Lawrenson who was just able to hold her precious little girl for the first time since she was born this past week here are the things I can't wait for you to experience

* The splash of water you get in your face when your baby hits the water in the bath with her hands because she's so excited

* Her pulling your hair while she tries to hug you & it's all caught up in her fingers

* Hearing her sing along to a song....when this first happens its so unexpected & oh so cute

* Doing her hair just so she can take it down as soon as you leave the room

* Dressing her up for church on Sundays

* The big wet kisses baby's give

* Having her try to use your fingers as teethers

* Reading bedtime stories while she falls asleep in your arms

If your reading this blog & you have no clue what I'm talking about.....please enlighten yourself at www.cfhusband.blogspot.com & find out what true love & real life is all about!!!!

First post

This will be my our first post....I mostly created this site to be able to comment in the Lawrenson family blog but since it's here I may as well use it....first about us, my family. It's just me & my girls....Holly is my oldest. She is 5 going on 30 & she has Cystic Fibrosis. This blog will probably contain many things about her & CF because reality is that CF rules your life.....sad but true. I also have Isabel, she is 2 years old. She is the sweet somber child who you can convince to do anything most of the time. She is CF free. We live in GA & basically just hang around the house most of the time. The most exciting thing going around our home right now is the fact that Holly is able to go back to school...see she hasn't been in school for 5 months now because of lung infections & other issues she had going one. She is finally clear & able to be back in school & she is super excited (so is the mommy)!!

Well, for now that's probably about it. Oh...if you're reading my blog & you don't already know about this lovely family please go check out the Lawrensons website & pray for Tricia to get her new lungs & baby Gwyneth, well I am just praying that she continues to do well & be the perfect baby she is...you can read more about them at http://www.cfhusband.blogspot.com/
